Dr. Calvin and Brenda Bradley

Calvin Bradley was born in Columbia, South Carolina.  He grew up in  that area and later moved to Savannah, Georgia with his parents Carl and Lucy Bradley.  He attended school in Savannah.  In 1963, he joined the army and served for three years.

Calvin's dear Aunt Rosetta Bradley was the main influence in getting him into church. He attended Bible Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia.  It was there he met his future wife Brenda Lynch and they were later married in 1966.   He accepted Christ as his Savior and they began working at Fellowship Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia.  He surrender to the ministry in 1972.  He attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and graduated in 1976.  He then worked at DeRenne Avenue Baptist Church in Savannah.  To gain experience, he worked as an associate Pastor and also worked with the teens at Rincon Baptist Temple (located in Effingham, County).  In 1979, he took his first pastorate at Bible Baptist Church, in Columbus, Georgia.  While in Columbus pastoring,  he was able to teach at Grace Christian School.    God then lead Pastor Bradley back to Savannah in 1984 to teach and work at Pineland Baptist Church and Christian School.

Pastor Calvin Bradley came back to Effingham County in 1986 with a burden to reach this community for Christ.  Through his faithfulness, God has used him to start and build Faith Baptist Church to where it is today.  While building Faith Baptist Church, he has also achieved a Doctorate Degree in the Ministry as well as a Doctorate Degree in Christian Counseling through Covington Theological Seminary.  He and his family have made Effingham County their home for over twenty years. They have three children and three grandchildren.
